Wednesday, 25 March, 2020
Panattoni, market leader in industrial real estate in Europe, has started building a distribution center for a manufacturer of sportswear and accessories. The BTS facility with an area of over 67 000 sqm is under construction in Czeladź - completion of phase one is planned for H1 2021.
Panattoni has begun construction of the new warehouse for the sportswear and accessories manufacturer in Czeladź. The project provides for the construction of a warehouse building totalling 67,009 sqm, of which 2,177 sqm will be dedicated to a two-storey office. The new warehouse will be used to store, sort and pick goods ordered by customers from Poland and Europe.

The facility in Czeladź will provide jobs for several hundred people. With their needs in mind, a leisure area of approx. 1,800 sqm has been designed. It will feature a multifunctional sports ground, which can be used for football, tennis, volleyball and basketball, two miniature golf courses, a ping-pong table and a barbecue area. Next to the complex, there will be an external car park with a bus stop and terminal, which will significantly facilitate getting to and from work.

Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director from Panattoni comments: “The investment in Czeladź is an example of applying solutions which will not only significantly facilitate rapid growth in e-commerce, but also improve the comfort for those who work there. It reflects the changing face of industrial facilities – they are no longer ordinary big boxes, but rather logistics complexes with an elaborate array of staff amenities.”

The new Panattoni facility will be located in the strategic eastern part of Czeladź near the intersection of national roads no 94 (Wrocław-Krakow) and no 86 (Katowice-Łódź). The site is 12 km from the A4 motorway, and 15 km from the A1. The International Airport in Katowice Pyrzowice is just 21 km away.

Connecting business sectors. Panattoni specialises in delivering advanced build-to-suit (BTS) facilities, dedicated to the individual needs of tenants, especially those combining the textile industry, sports and selling clothes online. Out of the 9.6 million square metres of space delivered in Europe to date, nearly 3 million are in custom-tailored projects, finished according to the specific instructions of their future users. This figure includes manufacturing facilities, as well as large distribution centres, also catering to the needs of e-commerce, among others for Amazon (close to 1 million sqm altogether), H&M, Decathlon, Smyk, and even facilities dedicated to textile recycling, such as e.g. the space for VIVE Group at Panattoni Park Kielce.
